Chopped strand glass mat is a non-woven E or C glass fiber fabric made by mixing continuous filament roving with a length of 50 mm with a polyester binder in powder form. It is made by randomly spreading. It is a reinforcement material made of continuous glass fiber strands chopped into a certain length, randomly and non-directionally distributed, and bonded with a binder.
Good resin bonding, easy handling, good wet strength retention, good laminate transparency and low cost. It is suitable for hand-laid FRP modules.
