Welding Blanket Insulation

Mar 25, 2025

Welding Blankets are made of fiberglass fabric or fiberglass fabric with all kinds of coatings. The fabric has excellent properties due to its perfect structure and therefore offering high temperature resistance, thermal insulation and anti-oxidation.

RONDY Welding Blankets not only can provide protection from spatters, sparks, heat treating, sand blasting and molten metals, but also insulate rays to establish a safety, clean and normative environment workaround during welding, cutting, sand blasting, heat treating,... It is a piece of safety equipment designed to protect people, equipment, environment and other valuable items.

Materials:

Fiberglass welding blanket : Highly heat resistant, durable, and lightweight, suitable for most welding applications.

High Silica Welding Blanket : Excellent heat resistance (up to 1800°F/982°C) and flexibility make it ideal for high-temperature environments.

Ceramic Fiber: Provides superior thermal protection for extreme heat conditions.

Coated Fiberglass or high silica welding blanket: Some  welding blankets are coated with materials such as silicone or PVC for added durability and water resistance.

Heat Resistance:

Welding blanket Can withstand temperatures from 500°F (260°C) to 3000°F (1649°C), depending on the welding blanket material. Choose the material (e.g., fiberglass, silica) based on the maximum temperature of the welding process.

Size and Thickness:

Available in a variety of sizes (e.g., 4' x 6', 6' x 8', 10' x 10') and thicknesses to suit different applications. Choose a size that is sufficient to cover the area you need to protect.

Thickness: Choose a thicker welding  blanket for greater heat resistance and durability.

Coating: Consider using a coated welding blanket for added durability and water resistance in harsh environments.

Reusability:

Most welding blankets are reusable, making them a cost-effective solution.

Flexibility:

Lightweight and flexible, they can be easily draped over a surface or wrapped around an object.

Applications for welding blankets

Spark and spatter protection:

Protect nearby equipment, materials, and surfaces from welding sparks and molten metal spatter.

Thermal protection:

Protect flammable materials such as wood, plastic, or fabric from thermal damage.

Worker safety:

Acts as a barrier to protect workers from burns or injuries caused by flying debris or radiant heat.

Fire protection:

Reduces the risk of fire by containing sparks and heat within the work area.

Versatile:

Suitable for welding, cutting, grinding, brazing, and other high-temperature processes.

Industrial and DIY applications:

Used in industries such as construction, shipbuilding, automotive repair, and metal fabrication, as well as DIY projects.

Customizable:

Available in a variety of sizes, thicknesses, and materials to meet specific application requirements.

Place welding  blankets:

Drape welding  blankets over nearby equipment, surfaces, or structures to protect them from sparks and heat.

If necessary, use hooks, clamps, or weights to hold the blanket in place.

Drape workpiece:

For added protection, wrap a blanket around the workpiece or use it to create a barrier between the welding area and surrounding objects.
